  Spanning the idyllic pre-war era through the storms of The Great War and beyond to the roaring 1920s, Downton Abbey tells the story of the aristocratic Crawley family and the servants who work for them. As the world around them undergoes extraordinary change, life in the sumptuous country house continues to be marked by romance, ambition, passion and heartbreak. As challenges are faced upstairs and down, the inhabitants of the great house share in each other's joys and hardship; their lives are inseparably interlinked.

SEASON 1: Set in England in the years leading up to the First World War Downton Abbey tells the story of a complicated community. The house has been home to the Crawley family for many generations but it is also where their servants live and plan and dream and they are as fiercely jealous of their rank as anyone. Some of them are loyal to the family and committed to Downton as a way of life others are moving through on the lookout for betterment or love or just adventure. The difference is that they know so many of the secrets of the family while the family know so few of theirs. But for all the passions that rage beneath the surface this is a secure world; serene and ordered and at first glance it seems it will last forever. Little do they know (family or staff) that the clouds of the conflict that will change everything are already gathering over their heads.

SEASON 2: Julian Fellowes hit drama Downton Abbey returns for a second series with all the regular cast including Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Brendan Coyle, Joanne Froggatt and Dan Stevens. Returning to Downton Abbey in 1916, we see the effects of the First World War on the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them. The new series, including the Christmas Special, sees the return of all the much loved characters whose intertwined lives are rendered more complicated by wartime and its impact on the great house itself. And when the storms of war have finally cleared, will the way of life known by all the inhabitants of Downton have changed forever?

SEASON 3: As England recovers from The Great War, the epic third series sees the return of all of the much-loved characters in the sumptuous setting of Downton Abbey. The lives and loves of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them are laid bare as romance, ambition, desire and heartbreak reign in the great house. With new family members arriving and staff jostling for position, the secure, serene and ordered world of Downton is rocked by passions above and below the stairs. In the precarious post-war landscape nothing is safe, and as a wave of financial uncertainty engulfs the country, the Crawleys face a battle to safeguard their beloved home.

SEASON 4: Set in 1922, the fourth season sees the return of our much loved characters in the sumptuous setting of Downton Abbey. As they face new challenges, the Crawley family and the servants who work for them remain inseparably interlinked. Six months after Matthew's tragic death, his loss is still felt throughout the great house. Mary struggles to face a new future with her fatherless child and is encouraged by the family to pick up the pieces. Accepting a new role on the estate, the now eligible Mary also finds herself the reluctant object of attention from a number of eager suitors. With the twenties in full swing and the tides of change sweeping through Downton, Rose's continued attraction to the bright lights of London spells trouble for the Crawley's and Edith's budding relationship with Gregson is threatened by events beyond her control. Meanwhile, below stairs, passions run high and young hearts look set to be broken.

The Crawley Family and most of the servants are joined at Grantham House in London by Cora's mother, Martha Levinson (Shirley MacLaine) and her son Harold (Paul Giamatti), to celebrate Rose's 'coming out' at Buckingham Palace. Isobel finds herself with an admirer while Edith is wrestling with a moral dilemma. Downstairs, Daisy gets an unexpected invitation and Carson treats the staff to a special day out. When the Crawley's are implicated in a scandal that threatens to engulf the monarchy, Robert will go to great lengths to protect the royal family and his own.

SEASON 5: Season 5 of the international hit finds the Crawley family and the staff struggling with responsibilities and choices as they adjust to life in the Roaring Twenties. The beloved ensemble cast includes Dame Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Jim Carter, Joanne Froggatt and a host of others.
